We are so excited to share that Christine’s Dream Equestrian Center, our therapeutic riding program based at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, IL, was awarded a grant of $9,000 from the Adtalem Global Education Foundation last month. The Adtalem Global Education Foundation was established in 2010 and is based in Chicago, Illinois. The private foundation was organized for charitable, educational literacy and research purposes.

Last Friday, Canopy hosted the Adtalem Global Education Foundation to provide a tour of Christine’s Dream and the chance for them to meet some of the participants at our program.

The grant will be supporting Christine’s Dream in two major ways!
“Christine’s Dream is honored to be the recipient of the Adtalem Global Education Foundation grant. This funding will go directly toward the purchase of an additional horse. Specifically, one that is of larger stature and strength so that we may expand our services to reach a broader range of participants. In addition, the grant will support continuing educational and professional development opportunities for our staff to ensure we are providing the most up to date training and instruction to our riders and volunteers. The generosity of the Adtalem Global Education Foundation and its supporters is greatly appreciated.”
Lillian Peterson – Director of Canopy Adult Day Program
“I’m so appreciative of Adtalem Global Education Foundation for selecting Christine’s Dream as a grant recipient. With this grant, we will be able to increase the amount of individuals who can utilize Christine’s Dream services.”
