Giant Steps’ staff member, Brandon Adjoumani (pictured on the right) and Giant Steps’ student, Michael Kucera (pictured on the left) brought a different taste to this years’ Third Annual Chili-Cookoff. Not only did they team-up to compete, they put their own twist on their chili recipe. With five different meats and loads of veggies, their soup was sure to fill you up and warm your belly!
This year’s 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off was record breaking! This event raised more than $1,000 than last year and net profited $6,378, that will go to Canopy, our adult program! With 195 tickets sold, 21 chili entries and 10 raffle baskets, it was a memorable and successful event!

Alter Brewing Company has a beautiful space and has continued to be so generous in opening up their brewery for us. One of the best things about the Canopy Chili Cook Off is that we have people who have never heard of Giant Steps or Canopy coming to support our organization, raising the necessary funds it takes to support the Canopy Adult Program.
