Giant Steps Prom 2019
Giant Steps’ Secondary and Transition students always look forward to Prom. It is one of the biggest, most fun events of the entire year. And not even just for the students, staff also look forward to the event as well!
A photo booth, decorations beyond belief, a lighted up dance floor for music and dancing, as well as food and dessert describe this year’s “Hawaiian Luau” themed Prom.
The young gentlemen all wore Hawaiian floral button-ups, while the young ladies had the opportunity to be pampered with makeup, nail polish, hair accessories, and finally to finish off their glamorous look, they wore formal cocktail dresses or gowns!

I want to give a HUGE shout-out to all those that had a hand in putting Prom 2019 together. As a first timer at a Giant Steps’ Prom, I was wowed beyond belief!
First of all, I loved the theme. I thought it was very unique, as well as creative and perfect for heading into the Summer season. And, let me just say, the decorations… WOW! I couldn’t stop talking about them! I thought that the set-up truly displayed the amount of work and passion that staff have for our Giant Steps’ students. Hours and hours were spent on the planning of the event, but furthermore, the days leading up to the event, more time was spent finalizing the details, getting the venue decorated, and finally helping our students to get all dazzled up and ready!
It is an honor to work with such dedicated and passionate people. It was even more amazing to see the students outside of the school setting and having so much fun, letting loose to dance and just have a great time! So, again, for all whom helped in one way or another for the 2019 Giant Steps’ Prom, kudos to all of you! You helped create experiences and memories that our students and staff will forever remember!
