Just a Little Fun in the Kitchen

Check out Giant Steps’ students having a little fun in the kitchen. A little friendly salad making competition between a staff member and a student as well as student teamwork alongside a professional Executive Chef whipped up sesame chicken with fried rice and veggies. These students are able to work on vocational skills as well as fine motor skills AND have a good time while doing so!

The students learn by working in an executive functioning space. The focus was on sequencing the steps of the recipe, problem solving, and safety! Cooking makes learning these skills extra enjoyable!
